Recreational & Friendlies Game Schedules

Total Futbol Academy’s Youth Development Program provides an opportunity for young players to grow their individual soccer skills in a professional environment as an introduction to competitive soccer. The emphasis of the program is to introduce young players to the game of soccer in a fun, nurturing environment. The Youth Development Program is for all types of soccer players wanting to improve their soccer fundamentals, have fun, keep fit and make new friends.

Training sessions are run by professional staff members who’ve achieved licensing through USSF State or National coaching associations. Our trainers are very passionate about the sport and are trained to conduct age specific sessions to keep the players engaged.

Program Objectives

The Youth Development Program is open to all types of soccer players. We provide an opportunity for all levels of youth recreational soccer players to develop through a format similar to our current Select program. The main objectives of our program are to provide:

  • A structured curriculum that promotes skill development across all levels.
  • Repetition of technical skills that are essential in the development of players
  • Professional training by a staff that will follow a defined curriculum
  • Small-sided and full-side games where players have a chance to use the skills that they learned during the week
  • An enjoyable and exciting experience in every session so that each player continues to love the game of soccer
  • Emphasize skill development in a non-competitive environment that encourages players to flourish while focusing on skill development.
  • Emphasize quality and long-term benefits rather than short-term gain, within an age-appropriate development process.

Program Details

The program is divided into two levels based on your child’s age; our Juniors Program for 4 thru 6 year olds and our Youth Recreational Program for 6 thru 10 year olds.

Juniors Program

Visit the Juniors League Page for more info

Our Juniors program will provide a heavy emphasis on soccer skills such as dribbling, ball-striking and passing/receiving, all taught through age appropriate activities. This is a non-competitive program; scores are not kept. The fields and goals are scaled down.  There are no set teams and the players focus on 1v1; 2v2 and 3v3 to maximize their time with the ball. Fewer players on the field mean more opportunity to be in the action!
Parents or older siblings are encouraged to ’sign-on’ as volunteers. A structured training guideline/curriculum is provided. Our JRL staff will provide coach mentoring, curriculum implementation, group training, and player assessment. This is a structured program with firm philosophical teaching methods applied.

Teams may be coed.

Training/games: 45 minutes, 2x/week.  No weekend commitment.

The cost of the Juniors program is $75 for the season which includes a Juniors T-shirt.

Coaches can bring their entire team into the Youth Recreational Program.

Our Youth Recreational Program will provide TRAINING and GAMES.  Players will play in the Western League – a structured league with set schedules and referees – and will play against other recreational programs. ALL players are welcome and there no tryouts. Teams practice 2 nights a week for 1 hour each practice and play games on the weekends. Players in this program pay a significantly lower cost than Select. TFA will utilize our training staff to develop players. The frequency and intensity of the training is lower than in the Select program but prepares players for the select level.

The cost of the Youth Recreational Program is $125 for the season which includes a T-shirt.

All players are welcome and friends can play together.
